1. Quotes

Quotes provided via this website or on-site are estimates based on the information and access available at the time of assessment, and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Final pricing may vary if the tree's size, condition, access, or complexity differs materially from what was assessed — we'll always confirm any change with you before proceeding.

2. Permits

It is the property owner's responsibility to obtain any council or planning permit required before tree removal or significant pruning. AKR Tree Services can advise on whether a permit is likely required and assist with the application, but does not guarantee approval by any council or authority, and is not liable for delays or refusals outside our control.

3. Bookings, Rescheduling & Cancellations

A confirmed booking may be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or an inaccessible site on the scheduled day, may incur a call-out fee to cover crew and equipment already committed to the job. Where severe weather (high wind, storms) makes climbing or rigging unsafe, we'll reschedule at no charge — safety takes priority over the booking.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger jobs, we may request a deposit to secure the booking date, with the balance payable on completion. We accept bank transfer and other methods as agreed at the time of quoting. Overdue accounts may incur a reasonable administration fee for late payment.

5. Liability & Insurance

AKR Tree Services carries public liability insurance and takes reasonable care to protect your property, including fences, lawns, driveways and structures, during all work. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 (Vic), which cannot lawfully be excluded. Where damage occurs as a direct result of our negligence, we will remedy it or cover reasonable repair costs; we are not liable for pre-existing damage, underground services not disclosed to us in advance, or matters outside our reasonable control (e.g. severe weather, third-party interference).

6. Site Access & Safety

The property owner is responsible for ensuring reasonable access to the work site and disclosing known hazards (buried pipes/cables, unstable structures, pets, etc.) before work begins. Our crew may pause or decline work that presents an unacceptable safety risk, at our reasonable discretion.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
